Char

Char has been teaching the art of dance to children in Connecticut for over 40 years. She is a dedicated teacher, choreographer, producer and director. Char was the resident choreographer for Crystal Theatre where she designed the movement for countless original shows, as well as co-directed many productions. Her teaching skills and unique student rapport have encouraged students to study and major in dance in college and to seek professional work in the field of dance. Char is grateful to all the parents who entrust her with their children to study at Dance Dimensions.

Corey

Corey has been a teacher at Dance Dimensions for the past 15 years. She has taught lyrical, jazz and hip hop to middle and high school students. As a child, Corey also attended Dance Dimensions, was a cheerleader, and studied baton. In 2010, Corey graduated from Arcadia University in Philadelphia. During her college years she choreographed and danced in numerous ballet, lyrical, jazz and hip hop pieces even performing at multiple 76ers half time shows. However above all Corey is most excited that her daughter will be starting at Dance Dimensions this fall.

Alice

Alice Jackins began her journey at DD as a 3-year-old student and has held a variety of staff roles over the past decade. Alice earned her Bachelor of Arts from the Theatre and Dance Department at Bucknell University, where she studied boundary practice and dance composition under Er-Dong Hu. She has also choreographed for musicals around the county, completed a choreography internship at NYDance, and gained invaluable experience working at the world-renowned Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival. Alice’s dance photography can be seen displayed on our studio’s walls and on our instagram (which she runs.) @dancedimensionsnorwalk

Student Teachers

At Dance Dimensions, we believe one of the most powerful ways to advance your dance learning is through teaching.  That’s why we invite some of our older dancers to serve as Student Teachers. Student Teachers support classroom management, demonstrate steps, and occasionally contribute original choreography. Being a student teacher means you are dedicated to your own training but also show a strong desire to give back and inspire younger dancers. Student teachers develop skills in leadership, communication, creativity, confidence, and patience – all skills of which extend far beyond the studio.
