Char has been teaching the art of dance to children in Connecticut for over 30 years. She is a dedicated teacher, choreographer, producer and director. Char is the resident choreographer for Crystal Theatre where she has designed the movement for countless original shows, as well as co-directed many productions. Her teaching skills and unique student rapport have encouraged students to study and major in dance in college and to seek professional work in the field of dance. Char is grateful to all the parents who entrust her with their children to study at Dance Dimensions.
Tina is the new friendly face at Dance Dimensions front desk who is prepared to answer any questions you may have regarding tuition, costumes, class schedules or shows. Tina is a true fan and supporter of the studio with both her daughters having danced here since they were 4 years old. (Maria 16 and Marianna 12) Tina plans to enjoy many years of service on the staff of Dance Dimensions.
Kim is proud to be celebrating over 15 years at Dance Dimensions. In 2001, she started the Tap program, which has grown in popularity each year since it began. Before coming to Dance Dimensions, Kim was the resident choreographer for the Stamford Public School System. She also has a musical theater background, and co-ran Entourage Productions Theatre company in the late 90s. Kim's best achievements though are her two young children and auditioning for the Rockettes. She has an amazing amount of energy and enthusiasm which she imparts to her students.
Debbie teaches high school jazz for Dance Dimensions. She has been studying dance throughout Fairfield County and NYC for over 20 years. She obtained her BA in Dance/Theatre from Manhattanville College with a concentration in performance and choreography. Debbie has recently been studying Middle Eastern Dance and has enjoyed choreographing and performing a solo in the Dance Dimensions’ shows. She is proud to have been on staff for the past 13 years and enjoys working with such accomplished dancers.
This is Rachel’s second year as a student teacher helping middle school dancers to have fun while they develop their jazz technique. She enjoys choreographing and collaborating with her friend Stephanie and hopes the girls in the class will have fun performing new steps. Rachel takes tap, hip hop, lyrical and jazz. Rachel is a senior at Brien McMahon High School.
Stephanie has the fun position of assisting Char with Dance Dimensions’ preschool and kindergarten ballet class. Steph has loved meeting these young girls and every class seems to hold a new surprise as the girls learn the art of dance. Steph is a junior at Brien McMahon High School and takes ballet, tap, hip hop jazz and lyrical.
Emily is a sophomore at Norwalk High School and is honored to assist Char with the first and second grade dance class. She loves hearing songs that she danced to when she was young as well as finding out what is current in the world of these little girls. Emily takes lyrical and hip hop and has been enjoying her experience of acquiring new teaching skills.
Emily is proud to be teaching her own class of preschool and kindergarten tap dancers. She has assisted Kim in two tap classes for several years and continues to do so this year. Emily helps Char with classical ballet and some second grade dancers. Her ease of flexibility inspires the girls during stretches and she enjoys helping them with the French ballet terminology. She is a senior at Wilton High School and has been taking ballet, tap and jazz since she was 4 years old.
Isabella assists in the upper grade school jazz class and the Monday 4:00 preschool class. She feels her love for dancing and her love for little kids make the perfect mix to be a student teacher. Isabella takes pointe, jazz, hip hop and lyrical classes at Dance Dimensions. She has choreographed several dances for the shows which have been very well received by the audiences. Isabella is a senior at Norwalk High School.
Corey teaches hip hop and jazz/lyrical to middle and high school dancers. She also teaches the technique classes for Dance Dimensions’ Summer Choreographers Showcase. As a child, Corey took ballet and jazz at Dance Dimensions and was a high school cheerleader. In 2010, Corey graduated from Arcadia University in Philadelphia. During her college years she choreographed and danced in numerous pieces ballet, lyrical, jazz and hip hop. She performed in half time shows and at pep rallies. Corey was instrumental in organizing and dancing in shows each semester. Corey loves seeing her choreographic visions come to life through her dancers.
